Day 1 Mexico Vacation.

Arrived in Mexico 2 evenings ago. My wife and I and her aunt and uncle (who come every year cause they have a time share) are here in Playa del Carmen for a 7 days vacation. Yesterday was our first full day, and it was fun and full. In morning my wife and I worked out, I ran 2.5 miles outside and she swam laps for an hour. Sat in on a meeting saying activities and excursions available, then went walking the beach side, our naked feet feeling the sand. We returned to the condo where my wife made eggs, bacon and corn tortilla for breakfast/ brunch. We then went out to the huge pool area and hung out for a long time. At 1pm we participated in the welcome party for all the time share members excluding a water balloon toss that my wife and I took part of. After that we took a taxi to 5th Ave, down town Playa del Carmen. It’s a neat mix of some modern buildings (restaurants and shops) and the traditional 3th world buildings. I bargained for a hat and eat some grass-hoppers cooked in ginger and lime that weren’t took bad. We split a fresh mango and coconut smoothies and then later all four of us split a Liva Margarita which was super good. Then we walked a long ways to a local toco Mexican restaurant a local had recommended called El Fagon. It was really hot, and to die for. Us and our full stomach walked a few blocks to a Walmart supermercado. It had parking underneath the Walmart with a strange escalator to get inside. Everything was in Spanish, but we were able to pay in USD, but our change was in pesos. We took another taxi back and went to sleep as we were very tired but content.

Lord teach us t…

Lord teach us to pray!
Luke 11:9-1
James 5:16-18
Pray continually. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking.
1st kings 18:36-45
Elijah prayed for fire and it came down immediately. He prayed for rain and he had to do it 7 times before it actually started raining.
1. There’s the immediate prayers
2. Then the finally prayers. – where you learn alot about your walk with God.
Do not throw in the towel if you dont see the answers immediately.
Your answers will come through. No matter the circumstances.
Our job is obedience, God’s job is results.
Prayer brings change.
If you pray through, God will come through.
God always answers prayers. Even if it’s not the timing we think is right or how we would want it to be answered. God’s ways are higher than ours and He is the same yesterday, today and forever! Amen!

What Are The Chances?

“In friendship…we think we have chosen our peers. In reality a few years’ difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another…the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting–any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking no chances. A secret master of ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples, you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, I can truly say to every group of Christian friends, you have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another. The friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another out. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.” C. S. Lewis
